FAQ
Q. What information can I browse for without registering on your site ?
A. You can browse through out gctravelnet.net without having to register. But to do any transaction or get any special deal, it is necessary to register.
 
Q. I am an NRI. Can you issue and deliver tickets to my parents / friends in India if I pay for them outside India ?
A. Yes, we can.
 
Q. I do not want to pay online. What are the other options available ?
A. You can pay by cheque, draft or transfer money directly to our bank account (account number available on request).
 
Q. I have booked a ticket on gctravelnet.net. When will it be delivered to me ?
A. It will be delivered within 24 hours in Ahmedabad, India. For other cities the ticket will be couriered and will reach you within 72 hours.
 
Q. I have sent a ticket back to you for a refund. How long it will take to credit my card ?
A. This takes about two billing cycles (3-4 weeks) before a credit note is issued. If you are asking why it takes so long, our account section sends the ticket through the BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan). They in turn send the debit back to airlines requesting a refund. Hence the time taken is little long.
 
Q. Are the prices shown on your site applicable to all ?
A. No. Prices shown for travel within India and from India to Nepal & Bhutan are applicable to Resident - Indians only (including foreign citizens residing in India with valid resident permit). These fares are not applicable to Non-Resident Indians and other foreign customers. They need to send us a mail to check the prices applicable.
 
Q. Your online booking engine is unable to perform certain functions/ Are there any limitations to its functioning ?
A. Yes. Currently we are using the standard version of Central Reservation System known as "Galileo" for online booking. This has certain limitations as below -
(1) You may not be able to get price and book ticket for a child online.
(2) Price of an infant is not added to total amount.
(3) Fares shown are excluding taxes. All applicable taxes are to be paid extra.
(4) Prices shown for one way and return journey may not be proportionate (in the tune of few INR only).
(5) Travel for more than one leg of journey involving two or more airlines should be made separately. Similarly a

journey involving travel in more than one class (economy, business and first) should be booked separately. Otherwise fare shown may not be correct. This is particularly true for travel within India and from India to Nepal and Bhutan.

We hope this issues will be sorted out very soon. But if you face any such difficulty, please contact us and we will assist you as far as possible.

   Flights

Q. I would like to reserve a seat on X date and Y flight but I do not want to pay for it now. Can I do this ?
A. Yes, you can reserve a seat according to the guidelines of airline you are flying with. It does not cost you anything. But your reservation will be cancelled if you do not purchase it within the time stipulated. And the price is not guaranteed.
 
Q. I have reserved a seat on gctravelnet.net. But I purchased the ticket directly from airline and not from gctravelnet.net. When I reached the airport, my seat was not available ? What happened ?
A. gctravelnet.net holds the reservation for a stipulated time only. If a ticket is not purchased through gctravelnet.net in that period, reservations are directly cancelled by the computer.
 
Q. Can i reserve a ticket at gctravelnet.net and buy the ticket elsewhere ?
A. No. Airline procedures prohibit this and we do not hold reservation if the ticket is not purchased from us in a specified time from us.
 
Q. I am a registered member at gctravelnet.net. Do I need to enter my seat, meal, frequent flyer and other preferences every time I make a reservation ?
A. No, you can store all your preferences in 'My Profile'. Our customer service agent will make sure that all your preferences are entered in each reservation you make.
 
Q. Do cheaper tickets have restrictions ? How am I suppose to figure them out ?
A. Bargain (or in your words, cheap) fare tickets usually have restrictions regarding cancellations, change of date, refunds, etc. Read the restriction clauses before you buy.

Q. How can I cancel my flight reservation ?
A. You can cancel by sending a email to airbooking@gctravelnet.net and specify your flight details, date and full name.
 
Q. I am a member of two frequent flyer programs ? How do I get miles on different sectors ?
A. Please mail us at info@gctravelnet.net and give us your membership numbers and sectors for which you are to be given 'miles'.

Q. When I looked for seats, they were available but when I wanted to reserve them the computer said they were not available! How did this happen ?
A. gctravelnet.net uses a real-time reservation system. This means that at given time there are many users connected to the same system. It is possible that between the time when you looked and when you were ready to reserve, some-body else grabbed them! You can use our waitlist form and mail to us. We will be happy to assist you with your booking.

Q. I know for sure that there is a flight at a particular time, but gctravelnet.net does not show it! Why ?
A. Currently we show flights which have seats available for sale. There is a possibility that the flight for which you were looking for may not have seats available. Hence you were unable to see it.

   Hotels

Q. How does a credit card guarantee a hotel reservation ?
A. When you give us your credit card number, we pass it to the hotel. This ensures that a reservation is held up to the date and time you indicate. If you intend to cancel you must do it within a stipulated time, otherwise hotel will impose 'no-show' charges on your credit card.

Q. I have made a hotel reservation but my itinerary does not show a confirmation ?
A. Some hotels take as much as 24 hours before they provide a confirmation number. If you do not get in 24 hours, please let us know.

   Cars

Q. Can I use another person's credit card for payment of my rental ?
A. Credit cards must be in the name of the renter's name and embossed on the front of the card. The renter's signature must appear on the reverse.

Q. Can I use my company credit card for my rental ?
A. A signed company credit card, with only the company name on the front, is accepted as long as the signature is the same as the renter's.

Q. I'm having trouble confirming a vehicle. What could be the problem be ?
A. The problem could be one of the following - the vehicle you have selected may not be available at the location you selected, the availability of the vehicle may be limited, the vehicle may require special handling. You could select another vehicle type or contact gctravelnet.net for assistance.

Q. Can I reserve a specific make/model of car ?
A. While we note your preference when you reserve a car, it is sometimes difficult to guarantee a particular model. If you do not get your specific choice, you will receive a car similar in size and within the same car group classification.

Q. If a car doesn't reach a pickup point or is late, what do I do ?
A. Usually this will not happen because we make sure that cars reach the pickup point half an hour before time, but if you are unable to locate our representative or chauffeur, please contact us at +91-79-656 8740.

   Holidays

Q. I want to visit a city that is not listed on your site. What should I do ?
A. We keep adding new destinations. But if the city you are interested in is not on our site, you can mail us your requirement at tours@gctravelnet.net and we will do our best to confirm your arrangements.

Q. I am not interested in a full package. All I want is hotels and transportation ? Can I book this ?
A. Yes, you can take a part of a particular tour. Please mail us your exact requirements at tours@gctravelnet.net and our customer service representatives will send you a breakup of what your 'part' will cost. You can book hotel and car through the respective sections directly.

Q. If I book a vacation package that specify meals, how many do I get ?
A. Good question! Just check to see what your package includes. If it says EP then no meals are includes. AP means breakfast, lunch and dinner - all three are included. MAP means breakfast and one more meal - either lunch or dinner are included.

Q. What are my rooming options if I am traveling alone ?
A. Normally vacation package prices are on the basis of double or twin occupancy. If you are traveling alone, we will try to find a suitable group member who could share the room with you. If there is no group member with whom you can share a room, you will be given a room to yourself - called single occupancy in the trade - and you have to pay a surcharge for that.

Q. A friend wants to join a vacation package I am taking midway through the tour. Can you arrange that ?
A. Yes, we can make this arrangements but they are subject to availability, please mail your requirements to tours@gctravelnet.net and give us your address and day-time (India Standard Time), phone numbers as well. A customer service agent will contact you about the arrangements and costs.
